You must have noticed it too

As we prepare ourselves for the second wave of the pandemic, it feels as if no matter how much we prepare, the syllabus is never-ending. You must have noticed too that the amount of videos on social media starring people across the globe has dropped. I am talking about those videos where groups of cousins, friends and colleagues join together from various locations around the world. The challenges have gone down (mop challenge, makeup challenge, pass the lipstick ones were quite creative though). The WhatsApp group chats and weekly zoom calls have become bare minimum. The general attitude and ardour for life for most of us is on an all-time low. There is a feeling of ‘let it be’, ‘be safe wherever you are’, ‘I am not bothered anymore.’ What do you think?
What else have you noticed?

1. The pattern of eating – I feel we are eternally hungry
How many food videos do you see on a day? How many dishes have you tried? I have tried many recommended ones and mastered a few. Who is going to come home to try them anyway?☺️You can say whatever you want!
2. Phone usage
I am not even going to get started on screen time. Because If I tell you then I won’t be in a position to lecture my kids.
3. Value ‘me time’ like never before
This doesn’t need any explanation I guess.
4. Online
The way of life – buying, studying, protest, celebrations you name it.
5. One common line in most of our conversations
When is this going to end?
AND

6. Self-care
I bought the popular charcoal mask. I have used it three times until now. Good for you if you are doing a proper skincare routine. But I am religiously using the anti-wrinkle cream – this is being hopeful!
7. Thrillers
Maybe because of the thrills of life in the times of Corona, I have more inclination towards thrillers now.
8. New hobby or rekindle an old one
Am I right about it? Because I have rekindled my love for plants.
9. Used to
We are getting used to working from home and the new way of life. Isn’t it?
Finally
10. Gratitude and hope

But most of all, I am grateful for what I have and treasure the little moments of happiness! I hope to meet my family and friends soon. As the days go by, the plans in my head to meet up people increase. Those plans to meet up people for coffee, hosting dinners, enjoying a hearty laugh together makes me happy. The prospect to travel and be ok in the comfort of hugs again is making me see light at the end of the tunnel.
So hang in there my friends, even when it looks like a long winter. Although the storm is the same, the boats are not the same. Navigate yours to the best of your abilities. We will get through this together.
So what have you noticed? What else would like to add to the list?
If you’ve liked reading it, please share it with someone you think might like it too😊
Much love
