I hold back, I doubt myself, What if I don’t succeed? The Defensive me
I am afraid of starting and why not? I am a mother, for me child comes first. Child is my priority. The Mother me
I think of the finances, time, training, rightly so. Calculative me
I think too much, someone coined the term ‘Analysis Paralysis’, oh is that me?
This is for all of you who think too much and never end up doing it. The idea is very simple. Your life is not an essay to be critically analysed. If you have an idea, don’t start marking it down for the mistakes in punctuations. You may take a moment to think and if you are not able to reach at the full stop, don’t just give it up.
The writer in you, storyteller in you; don’t let the critics in you; stop you from getting your book published. If you haven’t started writing yet, start it today. You may have some underlying issues such as childcare or time, but if you so badly want to write, you will find a way. You can gather your thoughts even while cleaning the dishes or chopping some veggies or returning from work. Just keep a pen and a paper accessible and jot down your thoughts. It may take time, but you will be happy with the progress in a week.
The painter in you, the designer in you, the chef in you, the entrepreneur in you; don’t wait for the perfect time because there is no such thing as ‘perfect time’. You want to do something, just start it. Don’t let the analyst in you, do the paralysis. Let out your idea to the world. The other issues get sorted. You will be wonderfully surprised.
I am nobody to give any kind of life enriching, soul feeding thoughts. But as they say charity begins from home, hence I will write what I feel is right. I have learnt from my mistakes. I have learnt from other’s mistakes, as I can’t possibly make all on my own. Life is too short.
I hope someone somewhere gets inspired.
