Hello everyone!
Hope you are doing well and had a great weekend! I started writing the post on Friday and still continuing. It was wet all around, grey sky, kids at home and the sound of the little drops of rain were acting as a lullaby for me! It wasn’t a good combination at all. I wanted to fall asleep but my kids were as alert and spring full as a bright day! What a mis match! I wish, there were a stabiliser that could stabilise the frequencies, either made me upbeat and kicking or made them sleepy! One of my ‘Alice in Wonderland’ fantasies yet again! I took my toddler for a nap and asked my seven year old to sit down for a few moments in the living room (with the prospect of allowing him to play in the iPad) and tried to catch up with some sleep with my toddler. Even half an hour of sleep work wonders. But no, they had different ideas, my son kept barging into the room to check if she went to sleep at all and every time he came in, my daughter took it as a game and got extra excited! Ever happened to you? So what do you do in that situation? Gosh, I was sleepy, just like that ‘Tom and Jerry’ episode where Tom couldn’t keep his eyes open and Jerry kept on disturbing him. Finally, I decided to call my son to the room, gave him the iPad and put her to sleep. I probably got a few winks because I didn’t give up on my dream and stayed on sleeping! Yay!

I hope you are still with me and it’s not putting you to sleep:-). So this is a little tale for all the hours of sleep deprivation and for the brilliant ideas to catch up with sleep. The ideas and techniques to keep the little ones busy, while you rest in the sofa! To tell you the truth, I was just kidding, there aren’t any techniques, just sleep along whenever you get a chance! Other than ‘you’ being at your parent’s place, there isn’t any sure shot solution for that. You can check with your own mum, if you don’t believe me:-). For all the mums of school going children, the holidays could be a little tricky. So to make sure you have energy for the rest of the day, sleep in, get up only when your toddler or your baby gets up. It’s your holiday too.

I came across some lovely quotes which aptly describe the situation I am talking about, hope you enjoy them and hope they bring a smile on your face.
1) I read the below quote on twitter and the person who posted this quote described it as her life story and also associated it with laundry. And I link it with sleep!
2) On never giving up and following your dreams
3) John Lennon quoted these inspiring lines and it holds true in the situation of sleep…Someday…Someday:-)
Thank you for visiting and hope you liked reading my post!
Much love
Suranjita
