Happy Father’s Day!
To my ever smiling and happy dad
To the daddy of my kids
To all the dads
To all the single mums
A very happy Father’s day!
A chapter, a rewind of some of my best years
As a teenager, I would often open the refrigerator door and look for things to cook. Yes, I had an interest. But after a quick inspection of the ingredients, I would shrug and immediately close the door. I would sigh and say, ‘there is nothing to cook’, ‘we don’t have anything interesting’. To that, my dad would softly say, ‘Make the most of the available resources’.
Make the most of the available resources
I guess, it has passed on to me and has made a significant impression on me. My mantra for life! I often say that to the people who are close to me. Aha my kids and hubby:-)
As a child, I used to avoid walking and used to travel first class most of the time! Of course on my dad’s arms or lap. I can’t believe that my daughter is the same. She loves it. It has to be Daddy. Two little steps and ‘Please can you hold me?’. Genes, I say:-). My hubby loves carrying both my kids and I have a reminiscent of my childhood!
Sense of humour, sarcasm – thanks to my dad. There are so many amusing stories. Just like the aroma of a home cooked meal, it can only be felt. These wonderful memories are pouring on me like little raindrops on a hot summer day!
Working on….
How can my dad be so happy all the time? I am still working on acquiring that trait.
How can he drink buckets full of water (A little exaggeration works. They are actually glasses!) first thing in the morning? Haven’t even started working on that. Resolution for the next year…year after year:-)
A very Happy Father’s day!
Much love
