Hope you are enjoying the beauty of the winters! Wrap yourself up for a warm ride along the memory lane. This post is dedicated to my fond childhood memories of winters! The fragrances, joy, the free spirit, the smiles, laughter, amazing friends, loved ones, umpteen moments of hopping and skipping, giggles, loving warm aura of my parents and brother, chit- chats with my cousins and aunts wrapped up in quilts. To the winters!!!
Remember the foggy winter mornings?
Remember the mornings when you were the first one to wake up (usually during exams) when you looked around and felt that you might be the first one in the world to wake up that early?
Everything around you was screaming for a cosy cuddle up, and you had to somehow gather up the courage to get rid off that quilt.
Coming out of your bed and finding everything around you dark and suddenly you have this amazing idea of working late at night and sleeping in the morning! That thought would encourage you more to cuddle up in the bed and postpone ‘the waking up early’ for one more day! Have you done that?
Remember the foggy winter mornings?

When you wake up early, make yourself a hot cup of tea, wrap yourself up in a shawl and have a great morning reading.
‘OR’
When you wake up in the morning, wrap yourself up in a shawl, have a hot cup of tea and in spite of your desperate attempts, you still can’t keep yourself up. Eyes moistened, drooping and surrendering to the mighty sleep!
I have done both of them and both of them are equally amazing 🙂
Remember the foggy winter mornings?
When the sun comes out, casts it magic around and knocks you off with its splendid beauty. The entire gloomy feeling suddenly disappears and you want to come out to enjoy the winter sunshine.
Remember the time when you sat outside with oranges in your hand? Winter sunshine and gossips with cousins while enjoying the juicy oranges.
The short span of time between afternoon and evenings is just so cosy and warm. The smokey fragrances mixing up with dry soil has an uplifting spell, isn’t it?
Remember the foggy winter mornings?

The Sundays with long lazy breakfasts. Hot puris and bhajis (vegetables). Tea of course!
The people coming over for a quick catch up and staying for lunch. It meant more play time for the kids!
Wrapping up warm as if we were air tight containers, your parents must have done that as well, remember?
Monday mornings, remember the time when you sprung out of your classrooms to play games in the sun?
These memories are filling me up with so much joy that I felt like writing and sharing with you. Hope you liked walking along with my childhood memories!
Do share your fond memories of the foggy winter mornings:-)
Much love
