Resolutions yet?

Hello everyone!!

Here we are, the last day of the year 2015 (just in case you haven’t worked it out)

Time for resolutions, or remembering the failed resolutions and making re-resolutions of the resolutions of the past years.

Time for contemplations, the inconspicuous ideas and thoughts.

My moaning, your moaning, my joy, your joy, my triumphs, your triumphs, add them up, subtract a few, do some calculations or may be not. Tomorrow would be just another day!

Thoughts – the powerful ones, the miserable ones, they all add up. The vulnerable moments that had led to crazy ideas of ‘life being a trap’ (when we all know that the exit is wide open!) However, the end result is here and if you are reading this post, it only indicates that – You are alive, living , breathing and everything to celebrate yet another New Year’s Eve! That’s a good enough reason. No more evaluation is needed. There can only be room for realisation.

What I have realised?

Change:

No matter how hard you try, you can’t change anyone. The only person you can work on is ‘yourself’. Nice to be a ‘Work in progress’. When there is a storm,  it’s ‘you’ who is no longer the same person.

Reaction:

There is no need to be the first one to react. What seems like a brilliant idea to you may have others pouring opprobrium. A delayed response brings in a bit of perspective.

Imperfection:

All I can do here is to quote from my current favourite book, Kafka on the Shore. “A certain type of perfection can only be realised through a limitless accumulation of the imperfect”. Get comfortable in your vulnerabilities.

Serious:

O please don’t be…take life as it comes, have the attitude to keep a smile. Remember, you have made it this far:-)

Easy on yourself:
