Life lessons that you wish you learned ten years earlier
I came across an amazing article that talked about some of the valuable life lessons. When we set out to fulfil a long cherished dream, sometimes we can foresee the product but most of the time, all we have is the journey. The journey could have many pit stops and involves a plethora of decision making. If I have to pin point one element that aids in the decision making process, then it has to be ‘wisdom’. Because ‘wisdom’ is knowledge plus experience. However, we can’t possibly have all the experiences in the world. Therefore, we have to learn from other’s experiences too.
Most important life lessons
The article was about a Twitter thread by Facebook executive Julie Zhou’s question – the ‘most important life lesson that you wish you learned ten years earlier?’ Here a few of my favourite ones from the thread. By the way, the entire thread is amazing!
My answer to Life lessons
If I had to write my answers to the thread, I would have said,
Don’t become a PRO at crastination!
Love people, use things.
Be whatever you want to be, ‘jack of all trades is fine as well’!
Say it if you are not happy about something. Your friends will understand.
I also feel that it’s about the journey and not the product. I found this beautiful tweet by ✔@AdamMGrant that sums up what I was trying to tell you about the ‘journey.’
It’s way more fun to read Harry Potter or see Hamilton than it would be to watch @jk_rowling or @Lin_Manuel write.
But the seeds of greatness are planted in the daily grind.
